There are no plans to port the Rhino side of the plug-in at the moment. That is why I was suggesting to skip the.rhp file: it is built for Windows only at the moment. You can delete that file.

Thank you so much for porting this to mac!

I'm having trouble getting Explicit history to load it though. I've added the .gha file to my components folder and restarted but it doesn't seem to show up, am I missing something?

you need also the rest of the files: the .gha alone is not enough. You can skip the .rhp only.

The grasshopper addition seemed to work. I do get an error when I boot the RhinoWIP:

Which I assume is for the Rhino-side of the plugin, is that correct?

Within Grasshopper, the toolbar shows up, I haven't had a chance to get into testing all of the widgets yet.

Hi did everything that was mentioned but still not seeing the weaverbird tab in grasshopper, I even tried reloading grasshopper.

Hey /r/rhino. I need to buy rhino as part of my degree but I own a Mac. The Mac version is cheaper for students (whoooo) but I saw it also lacks certain features (e.g. Plug in support and grasshopper capability).

At present there are two common issues with downloading files from the Grasshopper Forum.

So, both Autocad and Rhino come out with OSX editions right as I start architecture school. I'm going to need to learn one of them really well over then next few years, but I'm not sure which one is the best. At my school people seem to lean towards the intuitive Rhino interface, but it seems like.
Rhino for Mac is here. While it doesn't have the exact same features as its Windows counterpart, Rhino for Mac offers a compelling 3D modeling experience for designers who prefer to work in the Mac environment.
Rhino is exactly like autocad but actually makes 3d modeling easy. It takes more skill to make blogs in rhino than it does to make precisely measured orthogonal models. Maya makes the aforementioned and reviled blobs. But maya and rhino work hand in glove together. Make the measured model in rhino. Add the curvilinear in maya. Many big firms.

GHX

The XML based file format of GHX files sometimes causes your browser to see it as a 'text' file to display as a webpage.

To get around this, right click the link and select 'Save link as..' option from the context menu, then click save. On a Mac to 'right click' you can hold down the control button on the keyboard simultaneously whilst clicking the mouse button.

The alternative is to use GH files which are the Binary file format for Grasshopper and since 0.8.0050 have been the default. GH files are much smaller than GHX files since they are compressed and they will not be modified by web-browsers, email-clients and virus-scanners.
